At Joint Base Charleston, the Community Action Team (CAT), known as JBCARES (Joint Base Charleston’s Community Agencies for Resilience, Enrichment, and Support), is a monthly working group focused on identifying, assessing, and prioritizing community concerns related to resilience and violence prevention. As an open forum, we collaborate to collect and share data from our various functional areas which assists in analyzing trends for developing, planning, and implementing evidence-based programs that benefit our Joint Base Community. As a team, JBCARES proposes solutions to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors for Service members, their families and DoD personnel. If you would like to be a part of JBCARES, please contact us at 843-963-CARE (2273) or email 628abw.cvb@us.af.mil.
