Our two long-standing Transition Assistance Program managers, Mr. Sel Stephens & Mr. Mick Mahon received a well deserved Veterans Business Outreach Center Appreciation award for their dedication and passion for helping service members leaving the Military.

Boots to Business (B2B) is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration(SBA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP).

The class provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources.

The first day focuses on the Introduction to Entrepreneurship. This course is instructed by SBA and its partners, who are skilled business advisors. Day two consists of courses instructed by a consortium of professors and skilled business advisors from the SBA Network.

The VBOC encourages TAP-eligible and active duty personnel, military spouses, veterans and civilians with base access to attend this free 2-day introduction to entrepreneurship training class covering topics you need to consider before and as you start your business.
